Although no post in a while, I attended the Marion Popcorn Festival about two weeks ago for a more of local experience. The parade was one of the longest I have been through this year, but that is not saying much, its only my fifth festival! I loved that I actually knew people along the way, it was cool seeing faces I knew at places other than my own festival! I have had the past two weekends, festival free:( but have enjoyed my Senior Homecoming in the meantime!:) This coming weekend, I will be traveling to the Geneva Grape Festival for a fun time:)
I will be sure to let you know how it is:)

1 crazy week(:
One week I had all this free time, and was enjoying summer at its finest. The next week, I was crowned 2011 Bratwurst Festival Queen, and started my senior year! Sounds crazy, right! Well, its only going to get crazier! I finally attended my first 3 festivals this week which I have been so anxious for!
First, was the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival!, which actually reminded me of a carnival! Totally cool!!Attending the festival by myself was nerve-racking....for like the first two seconds, but after that it was totally fun:) There, I met many girls that were just crowned like I was, and some the will be giving up there crowns soon! What an exciting time?!?!
Yesterday, I attended the West Jefferson Ox Roast, along with my 2nd runner up, disregard a super long parade in the 95+ degree temperature, I loved it:) The luncheon was super cute, and I got to meet even more queens! So much fun:)
Today, I attended my favorite of them all so far! The Milan Melon Festival! Finally traveling North, after 2 to the South was fun! I met alot more Queens and enjoyed every minute of it! Milan, is the birthplace of Thomas Edison , so on our tour we visited his home, and where he was born! Such an interesting experience! I definatly will attend this festival again:)
As I have already met many new friends, and made memories and friendships that will last forever, I cannot wait to see what else this year holds!
My next fest is The Marion Popcorn Festival on Thursday! Hope to see you there! :)
